Tigers and the Power of the Sun exhibiting at The Gallery at The Bank of Princeton in Lambertville, NJ. This collection of oil paintings focuses on the wild, inviting the viewer to see through the eyes of each tiger. I’m exploring themes of survival, instinct, and humanity’s impact on the environment. Tigers' retreat from danger, escaping to peace arriving in untouched lands. Images of roses, birds, and butterflies weave stories of chaos, loss, and hope. Through vibrant color and movement, I’m attempting to explore the tiger’s perception of humanity - a mirror reflecting our recklessness regarding the planet, the chaos of commercialization, and the fragile hope for renewal amidst loss and tension.
In the series, The Power of the Sun, I’m drawn to the sun’s intense radiance that sustains all life. From the sun’s magnetic pull, luring plants to grow, to insects pollinating - providing life's existence - without the sun, darkness would reign.
I’m aiming to paint the sun’s role as the heartbeat of our world, connecting every living thing in a radiant cycle of growth and renewal.
Artist reception, Friday September 19, 2:30 - 4:30
