I think of animals as being right brain dominant, while we humans are the opposite. We are masters in computing tasks requiring less intuition and more logical, sequential, linear thinking. Long ago I imagine we thought more with our right brain - we were able to intuit how to navigate living in the natural world - embodying a connection with something much bigger. We were guided by an invisible energy, a universal grace, which wasn’t a belief or a religion, but a wild knowing which is what I observe in animals. This energy was felt in our hearts more than our brains and we operated on the natural-born synchronicities surrounding us. This particular collection of paintings is focused on the feelings I have about animals’ wisdom. Their ability to sense incoming change way before a human may sense anything. They are our portal.
